Reckoning in antiquity, in the middle ages, or at the beginning of the 20th century – no problem!

With historical reckoning boards, reckoning rods and mechanical calculating machines we can discover how the art of calculating developed in different cultures through the ages. In the many different programmes, the visitor can use many exhibits and machines to try the different methods of calculating used in different epochs of time and place. In addition, important historical machines from the Arithmeum Collection will be explained and demonstrated. At the end of each programme the visitors can show their expertise by taking part in a calculating competition.
