Cryptography - discreet and secret

Historical and mechanical encryption methods

Ever since mankind has been writing, it has also been trying to transmit secrets. The Arithmeum invites you on a journey through the history of cryptography, where you will get to know and use the most important and interesting historical methods of encryption. Some of the encryption methods are surprisingly simple and effective - try them out!

We will then introduce you to some of the highlights of mechanical encryption, including of course the famous Enigma, which we will present in working order in the collection.

You can book this workshop on all opening days except Sundays. It is suitable for groups of up to 20 people.

We look forward to your visit!
