Lars Vogt & Konrad Beikircher

Pictures of an Exhibition

„Pictures of an Exhibition“

... a combined work of art by Lars Vogt and Konrad Beikircher. It was Modest Mussorgsky who had composed one of the most popular classical works with his „Pictures of an Exhibition„, but after Ravel rewrote the piece for orchestra, the original virtuoso piano version was all but forgotten. One of Germany’s best contemporary pianists, Lars Vogt, has now come up with a fascinating rediscovery in an unusual package: Mussorgsky’s „Pictures of an Exhibition“ in its original version, together with excerpts from the world’s literature, recited by the well-known cabarettist Konrad Beikircher.
