Agata Zubel

Polish connexion

She composes and sings and is a remarkable woman. Many Bonn people will remember last year's Beethoven festival and the much noted premiere of her "Second Symphony for 77 performers ", which was commissioned by the Deutsche Welle as part of their Orchestra Campus Poland.

Agata Zubel now returns to Bonn, this time not primarily as composer, but as singer. She will be accompanied by musicians from her Polish home town Wroclaw and will sing tangos by Astor Piazzolla and the Twelve Poems of Emily Dickinson by Aaron Copland. She will also play Three Miniatures for Piano, composed by herself.
