Introduction to discrete mathematics
This school program is aimed at pupils in year 9. In four double lessons (dates by arrangement), the basics of discrete mathematics are taught in a fun and clear way. The program is sponsored by the Research Institute for Discrete Mathematics and is free of charge. Pre-registration is required at least four weeks before the start of the program.
Starting with the “House of Santa Claus”, the structure of footballs, Euler's Königsberg bridge problem and the four-color theorem, classical and modern questions of discrete mathematics are presented and investigated together.
We also offer this program in a shortened, 2-hour version. Please get in touch with us!
