Current on, Current off – Holes for Storing Data
Modern data processing was founded at the end of the 19th century with the first punched card counting machine by Hermann Hollerith. In order to understand how data can be stored with holes and how the necessary switches work, which also form the smallest logical building blocks of computing in today's computers, we will give you an insight into the binary system and explain it using our binary sphere calculator. At the end of the workshop, we will playfully apply what we have learned in the form of a test count with the Hollerith.
