Chipdesign
Everyone knows what computer chips look like and what they are. But how is a chip designed in the first place? Participants will playfully learn at our game tables what the two most important factors in chip design are. Firstly, you will learn about routing: here you try to find the shortest and most effective way to connect all the transistors together. The second game demonstrates the problem of placement: trying to fit as many transistors as possible on the entire surface of the chip. Participants become chip designers in this workshop.
