Badenia TE 10 "Peerless"

Four-species stepped drum machine

approx. 1955

Manufactured by Mathias Bäuerle GmbH in St. Georgen/Black Forest, abbreviated MB or also EMBEE (in the signet). It is the slightly smaller version of model TE 13 (see FDM 7663). The additional name "Peerless" indicates that the machine was intended for the foreign market. It was advertised as a universal calculating machine with electric drive - semi-automatic - with dial multiplication and stop division. Both counters offer tens transmission. The setting control unit is situated above the keyboard. Other functions include automatic carriage shifting for multiplication and stop division, automatic carriage return to the initial setting of the machine, while at the same time the counters can be cleared. The machine can be switched to manual operation by means of a small lever. Model TA (FDM 7570) differs from model TE mainly by the automatic division sequence. Model TE 10 cost DM 1880 in 1952.
