Robyn Schulkowsky, who was born in Eureka, South Dakota, in 1953, studied in Iowa and New York, and subsequently in Cologne with Christoph Caskel. Since then she has worked as soloist and composer. Her solo performances all over the world have gained her a reputation of the first rank among New Music percussionists. Her performance in a „concerto discreto“ at the Arithmeum is her first solo appearance in Bonn.
