V.I.F.

... these initials stand for the four flautists Stefan Boots, Christiane Oxenfort, Andreas Dahmen and Hildegard Schattenberg. Since the founding of the ensemble in 1989, they have been giving concerts with great success not only throughout Europe but also repeatedly in Japan. Their CDs have won many prizes, among them the German Record Prize „Echo Klassik“ in 1997 for the best chamber music recording of the year. With their wide sound spectrum reaching from the piccolo flute to the double bass flute, V.I.F. take the public into a new, undreamt-of musical world – with old masters as well as avantgarde compositions. V.I.F. = Very Important Flutes … that is more than a promise, it is guaranteed enjoyment for ear and eye.
