Dresden „Gotha - Weißenfels“ Leipzig: hardly another region has given rise to such a rich musical tradition as the central German region. Time and again, the Lautten Compagney has dug for treasure and presented many musical discoveries to the astonished public. Not only Bach, Händel and Telemann lived in what is today Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia, but also less well known masters @ the opera composers Carlo Pallavicino and Johann Philipp Krieger, for example. The highly praised soprano Deborah York and the Lautten Compagney, directed by Wolfgang Katschner, will take you on a tour of discovery.
