Kienzle 100 WBu

Toothed rack machine for accounting tasks

ca. 1955

The Kienzle Model 100 WBu accounting machine evolved from the Kienzle 100 E balancing machine. It uses the toothed rack principle and has the usual Sundstrand keyboard with pen slide. The other function keys allow entries to be made on journal sheets, with automatic sorting of debit and credit balances in two columns. The machine has a balancing mechanism and a spring carriage with a 45 cm wide platen. The positions of the jumping carriage and the calculation functions can be preselected by means of the control bridge, e.g. addition, subtraction or printing of the account number. It has a motor key, a vertical key and a skip key. The row and column spacing can be adjusted. Starting around 1958, this machine was still offered for several years as the Model 100.
