Starting with the 2002/2003 season, the „concerto discreto“ concert series will feature the first of a series of special concerts. These will be entitled „concerto discreto mio“ and will be hosted by prominent figures who will present their favorite music. Instrumentalists or vocalists will play or sing these pieces live. The Deutschlandfunk will naturally guarantee the usual high standard of their musical presentations.

These special concerts will be hosted by prominent figures from the world of politics, business, art and science, and the public will be able to gain a novel view of these persons by means of the medium of music. At the end of the performance drinks will be offered all round.

What would be more natural than that the first of these special concerts should be hosted by a prominent figure like Wolfgang Clement? The Minister has been a frequent and welcome visitor to the Arithmeum and will now also present the first of these concerts with his musical favorites.
