Soloist: Dorothee Oberlinger

…there is probably no artist in the field of ancient music who has enriched our knowledge of Baroque music more than Reinhard Goebel and his Musica Antiqua from Cologne. In 1997 he received the state prize of North Rhine-Westphalia „for his exemplary interpretations of familiar as well as unknown music of the 17th and 18th century.“ The ensemble received uncountable awards for their recordings: multiple Grand Prix du Disque, the prize of the German record critics, the Echo-Klassik in 1994 and 2001, the Grammophone Award, the Prix Caecilia. The guest soloist Dorothee Oberlinger also was awarded numerous prizes, awards, and stipends. In 2001 it was stated: „The Förderpreis of North Rhine-Westphalia goes to an artist, who has found her own way, independent of commercialism, and thus is adding a new chapter to recorder music.“
