In the „“ Musical Journey through Time II „“ the new art saxophone quartet from Basle, which was founded in 1991, presents original compositions from 150 years of saxophone history and transcriptions from all epochs of the history of music. The new art saxophone quartet represents a new generation of saxophone quartets which combines technical perfection with the highest claims to musicality and interpretation. In 1998 the new art saxophone quartet was the prizewinner in the German Music Competition in Bonn, the most prestigious national chamber music competition.
