An international career spanning four continents, with thousands of concerts and numerous prizes – with these the "Danish Nightingale" Michala Petri has firmly established herself as an outstanding contemporary musician. Her musicality and virtuosity are enthusiastically admired by everyone. She also receives the highest praise for her repertoire, which comprises music from early baroque all the way to a large number of contemporary works, many of which were written specially for her.

In 1972 Michala Petri founded a duo with her husband, the Danish guitarist and lute player Lars Hannibal, with whom she has toured Europe, USA and Japan. This successful collaboration is documented by many recordings.
