The development of silicon-chips from the beginning until now
Today the production of computer-chips is a matter of highest technology and hardly anybody would ever believe that the first lithography-masks used in chip production were cut by hand and were as big as 1m2. Did someone make a mistake, the wrong cut was simply taped over. Horst Basuhn was the Manager of the IBM ASIC until 2003.
