After more than 1000 concerts on all continents, the Flanders Recorder Quartet, which was founded in 1987, holds a leading position in the world of early music. The ensemble promotes a musical instrument which has been neglected for two hundred years, and plays more than one hundred different recorders, from the minute, 15 cm long “tiny little flute” to the 2 m long large bass recorder.
