Duo Brillaner

Praised as a „marvellously harmonious duo“ (Berliner Morgenpost), the Brillaner Duo exemplifies the scientifically proven fact that the clarinet’s warm and human sound blends into the piano better than any other instrument. Winning the Possehl-Prize in Germany, as well as the America-Israel Cultural Foundation and the Ronen Foundation grants, the Brillaner Duo performed at such celebrated halls as the Berliner Philharmonie and the Carnegie Hall. Their debut CD has met with widespread acclaim since its release in June 2005 and was described as a „fascinating mixture of two dazzling artists“ (Das Ensemble Magazine).

Shirley Brill’s career was launched with a performance as a soloist with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Zubin Mehta. Her numerous international awards include the top Prizes at the Geneva International Competition in Switzerland (October 2007), the Markneukirchen International Clarinet Competition in Germany (May 2006), and a special prize at the International ARD Competition in Munich.

Described as „a chamber musician par excellence“ (Frankfurter Rundschau) Jonathan Aner exclusively devotes himself to chamber music. A former member of the Tel Aviv Trio, he has won many prizes in prestigious chamber music competitions including the Melbourne International Competition in Australia, the Vittorio Gui Competition in Italy and the Joseph Joachim Competition in Germany.
